Protect the Environment!!

The Bow Waters Canoe Club endeavours to promote the preservation of our natural environment, especially the riparian habitat that contributes so much to the enjoyment of our paddling trips. We appreciate and value these special places in terms of the beauty they provide, as well as their importance in the cycle of life. 
 
Our Environmental Concerns Committee promotes environmental awareness within the Club, liaises with environmental organizations and makes recommendations to our club Board. We are a member of the Bow River Basin Council, the River Valleys Committee and Leave No Trace Canada. We are actively involved in the annual Calgary Pathway and River Clean Up.
